Beenzino Shares Apology Regarding Recent Instagram Post
Rapper Beenzino has addressed and apologized for the controversy regarding his recent post.
Earlier on May 29, Beenzino posted several photos on his personal Instagram account showing various red-colored items including clothing and a donut filled with red cream along with the caption, “World BuREDgundy Day.”
As it is the first day of early voting for the 21st presidential election in Korea, some people interpreted Beenzino’s post as displaying a political stance, sparking debate. Beenzino soon deleted the post and shared an apology on his Instagram Stories as below:
Hello, this is Beenzino.
I sincerely apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable because of the post I uploaded today.
There was absolutely no political intention behind it. I simply wanted to share some peaceful moments I spent with my family a few days ago, as well as some time in my studio, because I was in a good mood this morning.
However, I now realize that posting during the early voting period could have led to misunderstandings, and I admit that I was not careful enough about the timing.
I always value healthy communication with my diverse fans.
For that reason, I also feel disappointed in myself about today’s post and recognize that it was lacking.
The post has now been deleted, and from now on, I will be more thoughtful and cautious with everything I share.
Thank you to those who pointed out my shortcomings.
