Han Hyo Joo Transforms Into A Charismatic CEO In "Blood Free"

Upcoming drama “Blood Free” has shared stills of Han Hyo Joo!

Blood Free” is a suspense thriller about Yoon Ja Yoo (Han Hyo Joo), the CEO of the genetic engineering enterprise BF that opens a new era of artificially cultured meat in 2025, and Woo Chae Woon (Joo Ji Hoon), a retired officer-turned-guard who deliberately approaches her, as they get swept up in a series of incidents and a mysterious death.

As the entrepreneur who opened the era of artificially cultured meat, Yoon Ja Yoo receives attention from all walks of life and, at the same time, receives threats from naysayers. To protect herself and her company BF, she hires Woo Chae Woon as a bodyguard.

Han Hyo Joo will add tension to the drama through her portrayal of the charismatic and strong CEO Yoon Ja Yoo. She will also capture Yoon Ja Yoo’s wide range of emotions, including suspicion towards those around her amidst the threats she faces.

In the newly released stills, Yoon Ja Yoo is seen at her desk delivering a message to someone with a serious facial expression, walking while surrounded by the media, and wearing special goggles with an inscrutable expression, making viewers curious about the threats and situations she will encounter.

Director Park Cheol Han commented, “It’s a difficult character, but Han Hyo Joo did a great job capturing the emotions Yoon Ja Yoo experienced while trying to get to where she is today.”

Cinematographer Kim Tae Sung added, “She conveyed a lot through her gaze and exuded an indescribable mysteriousness.”

Actor Lee Moo Saeng, who plays the role of On San, also complimented the actress by saying, “Han Hyo Joo completely embodied [the character of] Yoon Ja Yoo.”

Blood Free will premiere on April 10.
