[Exclusive] Announcing Soompi Idol 9! Register Now!

Hey Soompiers! We are excited to finally announce the premiere of Soompi Idol 9! Soompi Idol is our annual talent competition, where the best performers among your community are discovered and rewarded! Soompi Idol is a longstanding annual tradition enjoyed by Soompiers for the past nine years, but this time around, we’re going bigger. That’s right, this year, Soompi Idol will be open not only to singers, but also rappers and dancers! It will be an even bigger chance for our talented members to shine!

As always, different themes are given each round, and it’s up to the judges and YOU to determine who gets to advance! Have fun, make new friends, win prizes… and release your inner K-Pop idol!

Registration opens Monday, March 5! We are accepting preliminary round entries now. Only 75 Soompiers will move on to the first round, so make sure you give it your all!

REGISTRATION

Registration opens on Monday, March 5, 2012, and closes on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at 11:59 PM EST. Preliminary entries MUST be sent in with your application forms.

ELIGIBILITY

Soompi Idol 9 is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, nationality, etc. This is a solo competition; group entries are not allowed. 

TIME FRAME

Soompi Idol 9 is scheduled to last from until July 2012. Please note that these dates are approximate and may change in the future.

PRIZES

1st Place Winner: $100 gift card, Soompi T-shirt, and trophy.
2nd Place Winner: $50 gift card, Soompi T-shirt, and trophy.
3rd Place Winner: Soompi T-shirt and trophy.
