BEAST Yong Joong Hyung Talks about his Slave Contract

On February 21’s episode of KBS’s “Kim Seung Woo’s Seung Seung Jang Goo,” (aka “Win Win”) BEAST’s Yong Joon Hyung talked about his slave contract with his former management agency.

Yong Joong Hyung revealed that he had spent his trainee days at an agency that wasn’t well known. He stated, “I received my contract, and I saw that it was a ten year slave contract. The president of the company never kept his promises, and the company was in no situation to get any of its trainees cast in TV.”

When he expressed his intention to leave the company, Yong Joon Hyung revealed that he was threatened. He continued, “The president called me over to a bar, drunk, and threatened, ‘Are you really going to leave,’ as he shattered a liquor bottle.  Even at a young age, I really thought I could and might die that day.”

He confessed, “As soon as I went back to the dorms, I packed my belongings, threw away my cell phone, and ran for it.”
