Infinity Challenge Gets a Warning from the KCC

Korea’s strict censorship is at it once again, this time’s victim is MBC’s immense popular variety show “Infinity Challenge”. On September 18, “Infinity Challenge” got a warning from the Korea Broadcasting and Communications Review Committee (KCC) for using “vulgar” expressions and yelling too loudly. It is said that these kind of behaviors on national television would disturb the Korean society. The KCC even decided that this warning should be submitted to the whole conference and that certain sanctions should follow.

However, many Korean netizens disagree with these warnings and the upcoming sanctions and decided to let everyone hear their own opinions by commenting, “I think a lot of other programs also show these kind of behaviors” “There must be some other reason that we do not know about” and “They are just messing with a perfectly good program”.

The decisions about whether “Infinity Challenge” should get sanctions will be made on September 29.

What do you “Infinity Challenge” viewers think? Is the KCC being too harsh? Let your opinions be heard!
