IU Chosen as School Violence Prevention Ambassador

On Februrary 10, IU received her appointment as honorary ambassador to preventing and eradicating school violence. The letter of appointment was presented at the Seoul National Police Agency. Upon receiving her letter of appointment, IU stated, “Being appointed to this position gives me a great sense of responsibility. I will do my best to work with the schools, students and authorities to make sure that the youth have the ability to enjoy going to school and to be able to go to school safely.”

IU was chosen as an honorary ambassador because she has a familiar image. The police agency also hopes that this will kick off a nation-wide school violence prevention program. School violence is something that we hope continues to go down. Hopefully IU can help a bit.
