Jay Park's Sexy Dance in "Know Your Name" Too Sexy?

On February 16, Jay Park made a big come back on Mnet “M! Countdown.” Many fans and viewers were impressed by his powerful and sexy performance, but a few pointed out that a part of the choreography was too sexual.

The performance of Jay Park’s “Know Your Name” is more powerful than ever equipped with uniformly disciplined choreography among Jay Park and the dancers. However during the dance break, Jay Park’s choreography with a female dancer includes a few sexually suggestive moves. Some argue that Jay Park’s dance break is even more inappropriate than the choreography of Trouble Maker. This sexually suggestive performance has already garnered much attention as soon as the music video of “Know Your Name” was revealed.

Jay Park’s agency stated, “The choreography is representing the concept and groove of Jay Park’s music. Although some consider the dance to be lewd and inappropriate, such controversy would cease to exist once he or she gets to experience the overall performance of ‘Know Your Name.'”

Despite the controversy regarding his choreography, Jay Park’s “Know Your Name” has already topped Mnet and Cyworld’s music charts and has been ranked high on all other online music charts. Moreover, the album “New Breed” has been ranked no.1 on Apple iTunes US R&B chart and in the top 5 on Australian and Japanese iTunes, continuing to grow popularity world-widely.

“New Breed” shows that Jay Park is not just a good singer and a dancer, but also capable of producing a quality album as he wrote more than 80% of the songs and was in charge of the overall production of the album. With the help from famous artists like Dynamic Duo and Rob Knox, who was previously Justin Timberlake‘s producer, many critics praise that Jay Park accomplished near-perfection with “New Breed” as an artist.
