Kim Hyun Joong's Fan Meeting in Singapore

Kim Hyun Joong‘s fan meeting, exclusive to THEFACESHOP patrons, took place last Friday afternoon at The Hard Rock Hotel Coliseum. Henecians and Triple S were already in line since early morning in hopes to secure the best spot in the free-standing venue. Although it was sheltered, fans were not spared from the scorching sun as the strong rays of light filtered through the transparent roof. Many resorted to putting their umbrellas to good use.

The fan-meeting was scheduled to start at 3:30pm but the star of the day was a little late. It started raining before he made his appearance and it’s hard to imagine but fans were actually cheering when the rain came down. It wasn’t because the rain would take away some of the afternoon heat but if you know enough about SS501 or Kim Hyun Joong, you would be aware that they bring rain with them everywhere they go. The poor Taiwanese fans were all drenched from head to toe when Kim Hyun Joong held a Hi-5 event there a few days earlier.

When Kim Hyun Joong finally came on stage, fans who last saw him here in Singapore eight months ago screamed in delight. A charity auction was held in Kim Hyun Joong’s presence. An autographed cutout was sold for two thousand Singapore dollars (~$1700 US) while the limited edition Break Down album was sold for three and a half thousand Singapore dollars ($2900 US).

Lucky fans who drew the Photograph Pass went on stage in groups of five to take group photos with Kim Hyun Joong, followed by an autograph session for those who drew the Autograph Pass.

I find it noteworthy to mention that whenever a fan stands before Kim Hyun Joong, his attention is always reserved for that fan only. No matter how others scream his name trying to catch his attention, his eyes are only on the person in front of him. How could you not love this man?!
