Lee Jun Ki: “I Wanted to Be Hwon from Moon/Sun”

In a recent interview with tvN’s Enews after his first fan meeting post-army release, actor Lee Jun Ki revealed that he would have liked to take on the role of “Hwon” in the currently airing hit drama, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun.” Kim Soo Hyun is currently playing the role of the fictional Joseon king.

When asked by the reporter about the dramas he watched while in the army, Lee Jun Ki replied that he watched “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” with a lot of interest. The reported suggested that Lee Jun Ki would have been made a good “Hwon” to which he replied, “Thank you, I actually would have liked to play the role.”

Lee Jun Ki added that although the role of a king is good, he prefers a role that involves more action. He also said that he would like to work with actress Han Ji Min in a sageuk drama in the future. Interestingly, Han Ji Min will be acting along side JYJ‘s Yoochun in a semi-sageuk drama, “Rooftop Prince.”
