Won Bin: Celeb that is Most Likely to Protect You from Danger

Won Bin surely has cemented his name as the national ajusshi (an uncle-like figure) with his movie “The Man from Nowhere” (2010). With the theatrical release of “Vanishing on 7th Street,” movie magazine Cine 21 conducted a poll that asked viewers to vote which star would most likely protect you from dark and danger. Won Bin placed first with an overwhelming 65.9% of the votes. Won Bin’s image from “The Man from Nowhere” probably influenced the ratings. In the movie, Won Bin plays a badass hermit who comes out of isolation to rescue a kidnapped girl.

Jang Hyuk who stopped at nothing to rescue his first love Un Nyun (Lee Da Hae) in “Chuno” (2010), Hyun Bin who can and will do everything for his girl Gil La Im (Ha Ji Won) in “Secret Garden” (2010), and Chun Jung Myun who appears akin to Robin Hood in “Mate” (2011) ranked second with 20.5%, third with 10.1%, and fourth 3.5% respectively.

As total darkness plunges the city of Detroit, strange aberrations happen throughout the city in “Vanishing on 7th Street.” The movie will be released on March 31st in Korea. The vanishing effect describes events where people disappear without a trace. Such phenomenon have occurred in 1930 with Canadian eskimos in the Rocky Mountains, 1940 with the ship Breaker in coastal Virginia, 1945 with flight attendants above the skies of Portu Alegre, and in 1954 with an American navy ship.
