IU to Perform in Her Role Model Musician Corinne Bailey Rae’s First Korean Concert

It looks like IU, who has long claimed Corinne Bailey Rae as her role model, won an awesome chance to actually perform at her concert! IU has been invited to perform at Corinne Bailey Rae’s first Korean concert as a special guest.

The seventeen year old female star has revealed that British artist Corinne Bailey Rae is her role model in multiple interviews in the past and has openly revealed that she’s a huge fan by giving a live performance of ‘Like a Star.’ IU seemed thrilled about her guest performance, stating “as an enthusiastic fan, I am very excited to be on the same stage with her. It’s an honor for me.”

The two musicians have previously met once at the Jisan Rock Festival. Corinne, who has heard IU sing through the video clips of IU’s performances, commented “even though she’s young, the soul in voice is stunning. I’m really looking forward to seeing her.”

Meanwhile, the concert will be held on March 10th at 8:30PM at AX Korea. While it must be so exciting for IU to be on stage with her role model, the fans also can’t wait to see the two musicians together at the concert!
