New Idol Audition Program “Made in U” Gives Chance to Work with Producers of Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Far East Movement

The upcoming idol audition program, “Made in U,” produced by new Korean TV channel jTBC, will give its winner a chance to work with some of the most successful music producers in the world.

According to jTBC, the winner of the show will earn the opportunity to work with Rob Knox (producer of Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Britney Spears), Sterotypes (Far East Movement, Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber), and Samuel Waermo (Bonjovi, Arashi, BoA, DBSK) for the debut album, in addition to the $1 million USD prize money. Also, the winner will be given multiple endorsement deals and major acting roles as part of the prize, which will quickly make a top idol star.

But that’s not the only aspect that makes “Made in U” stand out from other audition programs. It’s the fact that the viewers get to be directly involved in the entire audition process, as they will have the final say on whether the contestant moves on to the next round or not. As opposed to most other audition shows where the winner gets determined by a star judging panel, “Made in U” will let its viewers vote for the grand winner through its own SNS site called “Star Town.” Contestants will also have their own profile page to directly communicate with fans, allowing for real-time interaction with the viewers.

“Made in U” has already started receiving applications through its website at www.madein-u.com. All contestants must be 25 years or younger (born after Jan. 1, 1986), and be good at either singing, dancing, acting, or just be strikingly good looking. The winner will be groomed to become the “Next Generation Hallyu World Idol Star,” with the help of some of the most talented people in the industry.

The first episode of “Made in U” is scheduled for early December. If you think you got what it takes to be the next K-Pop idol star, make sure you send in your application!

**UPDATE: This is a global audition so anyone under the age of 25 regardless of nationality may apply. jTBC has informed us they are working on an English page and will get it up with more details sometime in November.
