SNSD's Active Acting Career in 2012

Four ladies of SNSD will be more active in pursuing their acting career in the coming year.

Jessica will be the first one entering the living rooms through the television in 2012. In 2009, Jessica showed her acting skills in her first musical “Legally Blonde.” She will continue with her acting career through the drama “Wild Romance”, which will air its first episode on January 4. It is expected that her role will enter the drama in the second half.

In March 2012, Yuri will begin acting in her first drama in the SBS show “Fashion King,” which will air its first episode in mid-March after the drama “Salary man Cho Han Ji” concludes. This drama tells the success story of a young man starting his fashion business with empty hands in the Dongdaemun Market. Yuri was cast in the 2007 KBS sitcom “Unstoppable Marriage” with Sooyoung, and also held a small role in Super Junior‘s movie “Attack of the Pin-up Boys” in 2007 before her debut in SNSD. 

YoonA and Sooyoung’s drama’s will start airing in April of next year. YoonA will play one of the leading roles in KBS 2TV’s “Love Rain,” which will air following the end of the drama “Dream High 2.” Sooyoung will play one of the leading roles in TV Josun’s “Speed,” playing a cheerful character who has lost her parents in a car accident.

Almost all members of SNSD (except for Hyoyeon, Sunny and Seohyun) have had experience with acting. Taeyeon played a role in the musical production “The Sun’s Song,” and Tiffany is now playing a role in the musical “Fame.”
