Tiger JK Picked as Top 10 International Hip-Hop Artist by U.S. Magazine

A leading African-American magazine picked Tiger JK as one of the 10 best international hip-hop artists in the world. The Korean rapper was included in the “10 Hot International Hip-Hop Artists You Need to Know” list published by Rolling Out Magazine (www.rollingout.com), one of the most influential African-American media outlets with more than 1.2 million copies sold every week.

The list introduced ten MCs from non-U.S. markets with the following description: “The international hip hop movement is a growing force and slowly being accepted by U.S. Audiences who are seeking out other creative and unique styles in Hip Hop…As you start to see this genre cropping up more and more, here are 10 intl artists you need to know.”

Other artists to make the list include: Lido Lido from Norway, Emicida from Brazil, Bliss N Eso from Australia, Profetas from Columbia, and Los Rakas from Panama, among others.

This list makes Tiger JK and his wife Tasha the most internationally renowned Korean MC couple. Tasha, also known as Yoon Mi Rae in Korea, was picked as the “12 Best New Female Emcees Dominating Mics Everywhere” by MTV’s music network MTV iggy recently. Tiger JK is currently producing Tasha’s upcoming solo album.
