Wanna One Debut Date Reportedly Set, Agency Responds

Agency YMC Entertainment, who is managing the “Produce 101 Season 2” boy group Wanna One, has responded to a rumored debut date for the group.

A report was published in the morning of June 21 that claimed that Wanna One will be making their debut on August 7. A source from YMC Entertainment has now said in response, “Nothing has been decided yet about Wanna One’s debut. A debut date of August 7 is not something that has been confirmed.”

“Preparations for the album have not yet begun,” the source went on say, and explained that the group is currently focusing on the upcoming “Produce 101 Season 2” concert featuring the top 35 trainees that is planned for early July.

“We still have to receive songs, and record them,” a source from the agency told another news outlet. “It’s true that there are many people waiting so things need to be done quickly, but there is a great desire for everything to be perfect for their debut.”

YMC Entertainment previously stated that Wanna One is planned to make their debut in August at the latest.
