“Produce 101 Season 2” Addresses Whether Trainees Will Get Paid
“Produce 101 Season 2” answered questions about whether the trainees from the show will be getting paid.
On June 22, a representative from Mnet stated, “Proceeds earned from the theme song ‘It’s Me (Pick Me)’ will be divided equally among all 101 trainees. We’re also planning on dividing up the profits from the concert depending on how many times each trainee performs.”
“Produce 101 Season 2” released a total of nine songs, not counting the piano instrumental of “It’s Me (Pick Me),” so the profits from these tracks will reportedly be divided among the trainees as well.
The representative added, “We don’t know the exact monetary amount yet, since profits are being calculated by three month units. However, the songs have been doing well [on music charts] so we’re expecting the profits to be pretty high.”
