Kang Daniel's And Lim Young Min's Fan Clubs Make Donations To Comfort Women And Children With Cancer

Kang Daniel’s and Lim Young Min’s respective fan clubs are doing charitable deeds in their favorite idols’ names!

On June 28, Kang Daniel’s fan club Daniel Dot Com revealed that they had donated to the House of Sharing, an organization that works to restore the honor of comfort women, who were sexual slaves of Japanese soldiers during World War II. The fan club wrote, “Thank you to the national producers of Kang Daniel for their 1,578,837 votes. We will join him in his warmhearted usage of products supporting comfort women’s rights. We would like to cheer on the ‘Produce 101 Season 2’ concert on July 1 and 2.”

Kang Daniel was previously noticed for wearing a t-shirt and bracelet that supports comfort women’s rights. In line with the number of votes Kang Daniel received on “Produce 101 Season 2,” the fans donated 1,578,837 won (approximately $1,380).

This is not the first time that Kang Daniel’s fans have donated in his name. On June 1, Daniel Dot Com donated to an organization dedicated to protecting cats.

Meanwhile, Lim Young Min’s fan cafes on portal sites Daum and Naver donated 1,010,000 won to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation and requested that the donation be used for children fighting cancer.

The person in charge of the donation stated, “‘Produce 101 Season 2’ has ended, and its last event, the concert, will be held soon. We made the donation in hopes of making the event more meaningful and celebratory than any other event. We hope this donation will help many children overcome their diseases and achieve their dreams like Young Min.”

Kang Daniel took first place in “Produce 101 Season 2” and became the center of project group Wanna One. Lim Young Min was eliminated in the last episode, taking 15th place.
