Lee Hyori Discusses What Made Her Unhappy In Her 20s On "Hyori's Homestay"

Lee Hyori reflected on her 20s after seeing her young and lively guests on “Hyori’s Homestay.”

On the July 2 broadcast of JTBC’s “Hyori’s Homestay,” Lee Hyori and her husband Lee Sang Soon started to get to know the group of girls who came to stay at her house. After having a great time together thanks to the girls’ happy energy, Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon had a talk alone before bed.

Lee Hyori confessed honestly, “I felt weird seeing [the guests]. I think I was lonely when I was 25 years old.”

She explained, “I didn’t have a friend that I could share everything with. The people around me were mostly people I met because of work. It’s so great and cute that they laugh at little things and that take care of each other, but I also felt a bit bad for the 25-year-old Lee Hyori.”

She shared her regrets by saying, “I earned a lot of money and I was popular, but I didn’t open up to anyone, even though I could have. Why did I stay so closed in all that time?” Lee Sang Soon comforted her by saying, “I’m sure you had your reasons back then.”

Meanwhile, “Hyori’s Homestay” airs every Sunday at 8:50 p.m. KST.
