Victim Issues Statement That Denies Involvement Of Popular Idol Group Member In Sexual Assault

After it was reported that a popular idol group member (who remains unnamed and will hereafter be referred to as “A”) was being investigated for sexual assault, the victim has now stated that he was not involved in the attack.

It was previously reported by the Gangnam Police Station that a woman called the police on the morning of July 6 to report that she had been sexually assaulted by two men, including “A,” at a home in Yeoksam while they were drinking together. “A” was not present at the scene when the police arrived.

At the time of the report, the police had yet to receive an official statement from the victim. In her newly issued statement, the victim has denied the idol group member’s involvement in the assault.

According to the Gangnam Police Station, the victim wrote a statement on the afternoon of July 6 in the presence of a public defender. The statement reads, “‘A’ did not sexually assault me. I think I was assaulted by two other men that we were with.”

There were six people in total at their gathering, with three women and three men, and “A” was the only person present who was a celebrity.

After the issuing of the victim’s statement, the police have stated that they have no plans to call in the idol group member separately for investigation, and will focus on the accusations of assault made against the two non-celebrity men.
