ONE Talks About Being The First YG Male Solo Artist In 14 Years And Thanks Yang Hyun Suk For Support
On July 11, rapper ONE talked about being the first male solo artist to debut from YG Entertainment in 14 years and also about being moved by YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk.
YG Entertainment’s last male solo artist before ONE was Se7en, who debuted in 2003. When asked about his thoughts on the matter, ONE responded, “It’s definitely something I feel a lot of pressure about. After seeing articles, the burden is definitely there but I’m doing my best to control my mind so as to not feel it as much.”
The rapper also talked about how Yang Hyun Suk showed his support for ONE’s debut and said, “I want to thank Yang Hyung Suk. He sent me a text saying, ‘Work hard and be healthy,’ and the ‘be healthy’ part was unexpectedly really moving for me.”
Meanwhile, ONE will be dropping the MVs for his two title tracks “heyahe” and “Gettin’ By” tonight at 6 p.m. KST.
