Block B's Zico Explains Where His Stage Name Comes From

On July 18, Block B’s Zico guested on SBS Power FM’s “2 O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show” and talked about his stage name “Zico.”

He explained, “It was transformed from my real name Ji Ho. My nickname during my school days was Zico. I majored in art, and when I went to study abroad in Japan, some of the people in my art class called me Zico. That stuck to my head and became my stage name.”

Zico also introduced his new track “Artist,” saying, “Everyone has their own disposition as an artist, so I wanted to include the message that we should all live confidently like when we’re at home and not worry about what others say.”
