Park Bo Gum Rejects Offer To Star In Hong Sisters' New Fantasy Drama
Park Bo Gum will not be returning to the brown screen just yet.
On July 21, a source from tvN stated, “Park Bo Gum has turned down the offer to appear in ‘Hwayugi.'”
“Hwayugi” is a work of the famous Hong Sisters that retells the ancient novel “Journey to the West” as a fantasy romance drama. Park Bo Gum had received an offer to play the main lead Sun Wukong.
Meanwhile, Cha Seung Won is in talks to appear in the drama as Woo Hwi Chul, a successful businessman and celebrity. “Hwayugi” will most likely begin airing in December as a weekend drama.
