A teaser for gugudan’s first unit has been unveiled!

At 9 a.m. KST on July 26, a GIF was uploaded on the girl group’s social media accounts.

The teaser hints at a bright, summery concept with colorful images of fruits, popsicles, and beverages. It reveals that their unit name is gugudan5959. Each member of gugudan represents a number, and Hyeyeon’s is five, while Mina’s is nine. 5959 is also pronounced as “ogu-ogu” in Korean, which is an interjection used to express someone’s cuteness.
