Lee Won Geun Describes His First Encounter With Girls' Generation's Sooyoung

Actor Lee Won Geun recalled what it was like to meet Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung for the first time.

During the press conference for their upcoming web drama “People You May Know,” Lee Won Geun was asked about his first impressions of Sooyoung.

He shared, “I had to meet up with the director right before our table script reading, but Sooyoung was already there before me. Right when I walked into the room, I saw someone I grew up watching [on TV],” to which Sooyoung urgently chimed in, “Wait, you can’t say it like that! Our age gap isn’t even that big.”

Lee Won Geun then continued, “She was wearing jeans, and I got really nervous because she was so pretty. I couldn’t even make eye contact with her. I just kept looking at the ground, and I didn’t talk much. Because I have such a shy personality, I was worried about filming [the drama], but it actually turned out to be fun.”

Meanwhile, “People You May Know” will be airing its first episode through NaverTV on July 31 at 7 a.m. KST.
