5 Easy Reasons Why We Should All Support Samuel’s Debut
From SEVENTEEN TV, to 1PUNCH, to “Produce 101 Season 2,” Samuel has been on quite the journey. Samuel is still young (born in 2002), but he’s essentially lived through multiple lifetimes’ worth of struggles. His tenacity is definitely something to be admired, as is his talent. And while there are an infinite number of reasons to stan him, here are the five major reasons why Samuel Kim’s debut is something we should all support!
1. His amazing dance skills
It almost goes without saying that Samuel is an incredible dancer. His years of training show when he’s dancing on stage, and he has an incredible charisma on top of that. He truly is a well-rounded performer; if you don’t believe me, just look at his footwork in the video below.
2. His wholesome personality
Samuel is a sweet, responsible kid who knows how to act his age. He has only ever wanted to be a performer his whole life, and has no desire to fool around or get into trouble, which shows how incredibly mature and driven he is. The only exception to that statement is when he’s just being his goofy and lovable self.
3. He can sing AND rap
Seriously, he can do it all. Don’t count him out vocally just because his specialty is dance. Not trying to sound like a broken record, but he’s just so talented! It’s remarkable that he can sing, rap, and dance as well as he can at such a young age.
4. His whole album is pretty fire
At the end of the day, it all comes down to the music. And you’d better believe that Samuel and Brave Entertainment delivered some quality tracks this time around. The title track “Sixteen” is a really catchy, youthful song that features rapper Changmo. And if that isn’t your cup of tea, “With U” is a more mature track that features former I.O.I member Kim Chungha to boot! Another great track is “I’m Ready,” which has an R&B and trap-inspired sound. Please do yourself a favor and listen to the whole thing at least once.
5. After everything he’s been through, he just plain deserves it
Samuel has trained at Pledis Entertainment for years, only to leave the company before he could debut. His duo 1PUNCH didn’t work out after ONE got signed to YG. He was the first to obtain an A rank on “Produce 101 Season 2,” and despite his skills and popularity being acknowledged, he was unable to make it into the top 11. Yet Samuel continues to not lose hope in chasing his dream and has finally made a solid debut! Seriously, the kid is amazing.
