Watch: KBS Heightens Anticipation For Upcoming Idol Reboot Program "The Unit" With New Teaser Video

On August 18, KBS released a second mysterious teaser video for “The Unit” after unveiling the first teaser video for the audition program earlier this month.

“The Unit” is an idol “rebooting” program designed to create two unit groups, one male and one female, with ten members each. The participants in the program will be idols who have already debuted but have not had their moment to shine yet. The program has already garnered an impressive number of applicants, including former audition show stars, currently active idols, and retired idols. Members from idol groups like BIGSTAR, Brave Girls, and Boys Republic have already been confirmed to be joining the show as participants.

Due to opposition from music production companies, KBS reduced the length of the exclusive contracts with the final unit groups from 14 months to 7 months. Meanwhile, Rain is currently in talks to MC the new program, which is slated to begin airing in October.
