Sunmi Talks About Support From Wonder Girls Members And Park Jin Young

On August 22 at 11 a.m. KST, Sunmi held a press showcase ahead of her first solo comeback since the disbandment of Wonder Girls and leaving JYP Entertainment.

Sunmi shared that all the Wonder Girls members have contacted her and wished her the best. She explained, “Yubin told me that it seems like I’m doing well with what I want to do, so it’s good to see, and she told me to take good care of my health.” She continued, “I showed So Hee the choreography and music, and she told me that it’s really awesome. So Hee usually doesn’t say things like that easily. She is very objective but told me she likes it.”

Regarding JYP Entertainment producer Park Jin Young, she revealed that he asked her the release date when she contacted him recently. He also asked if her album preparations were going well and whether she had received an offer to appear on his music talk show “Party People.” When she told him that it was under discussion, he replied, “I am recording for the show today, so I will talk to the production team immediately.”

Sunmi expressed her gratitude for their support, commenting, “I am thankful that they are cheering me on even after leaving [JYP Entertainment].”

Meanwhile, Sunmi will be returning with “Gashina” at 12 p.m. KST on August 22.
