SHINee's Taemin To Officially Debut As An Actor Through Japanese Drama

SHINee member Taemin will officially make his debut as an actor in Japan through the Amazon Prime drama, “Final Life- Even If You Disappear Tomorrow.” Reported by Japanese newspapers such as “Sankei Sports,” news of Taemin’s debut, as well as the release date of the drama, was released. The drama has now wrapped up filming, after starting to shoot in May.

“Final Life – Even If You Disappear Tomorrow” is a human drama about two men with two totally different backgrounds who meet at a secret police organization and try to solve difficult cases together.

Taemin will play the role of Sung Shi On, a man who is smart enough to graduate at the top of his class at a prestigious medical school in the United States, but becomes the test subject for a secret project and loses his memory. His counterpart, a man who grows up in poverty but becomes a detective, will be played by Shota Matsuda, the Japanese actor famous from the drama “Boys Over Flowers.”

This will be the singer’s second attempt at acting in eight years, after the 2009 MBC sitcom “TaeHee, HaeGyo, JiHyun.” Alongside acting, Taemin also sings this drama’s OST “What’s This Feeling.”

“I tried really hard to perfect my English and Japanese lines. Besides the lines, it was also difficult to express small details in the script, but I tried really hard so please look forward to it,” said Taemin.

The first episode of “Final Life- Even If You Disappear” will air on September 8.
