"Party People" Achieves First In Viewership Ratings For 2 Weeks In A Row

SBS’s “Party People” is proving its popularity by scoring top spots in viewership ratings for two consecutive weeks.

The August 26 episode of “Party People,” featuring WINNER and Cultwo, hit 2.6 percent ratings nationwide and 3.0 percent ratings in metropolitan areas, which means it ranked first among music shows in the same time slot.

“Party People” also scored No. 1 the previous week with its August 19 episode, which recorded 2.5 percent ratings nationwide and 3.0 percent ratings in metropolitan areas.

This feat is especially impressive since music variety programs are conventionally known to attract more viewers when it airs earlier. “Party People” is steadily rising in popularity despite starting 20 minutes later compared to its competing music show.

Meanwhile, “Party People” premiered on July 22 with Park Jin Young as its exclusive MC. The trendy music talk show is unique in its party-like atmosphere and standing audience.
