Upcoming MBC Drama Responds To Reports Of Delayed Filming Due To Strike

The upcoming MBC drama “20th Century Boy and Girl” (written by Lee Sun Hye and directed by Lee Dong Yoon) recently responded to rumors that its production has been delayed by the strike at MBC.

On August 30, a source from drama’s production company, Huayi Brothers, stated, “There have been no decisions made on suspending production.”

“20th Century Boy and Girl” (previously titled “No Sex and the City”) is about three women in their mid-thirties who have lived in the same neighborhood since they were born. Han Ye Seul, Kim Ji Suk, Lee Sang Woo, Ryu Hyun Kyung, Ahn Se Ha, Lee Sang Hee, and Oh Sang Jin have been signed to star. The drama began filming back in mid-July.

Previously a source from the drama, reportedly one of the actors involved, made a statement saying that filming for the drama would be suspended starting next week due to the strike at MBC. If filming is indeed suspended, it is not known how the strike might affect the drama’s airdate.

“20th Century Boy and Girl” is slated to air after the end of “The King Loves” in September.
