Watch: NU'EST's JR Explains Why He's Thankful To Raina
The August 30 episode of MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol” was a Pledis Entertainment family special with guests PRISTIN, NU’EST W, Raina, and Han Dong Geun. During the show, NU’EST and Raina opened up about their friendship.
First, it was revealed that NU’EST member Baekho is the only person in Pledis Entertainment that knows Raina’s phone number, while NU’EST’s JR and Raina frequently meet virtually through online games.
JR also told the story of how he was the first ever male trainee of Pledis Entertainment and entered as a trainee at the same time as Raina and After School member Lizzy. JR said, “I was the only guy, so I lived with the managers and ate ramen every day by myself. But Raina bought me ox-tail soup so I was really thankful.” In response, Raina described JR as “shy and like a baby” so she took care of him a lot.
After hearing their story, hosts Jung Hyun Don and Defconn talked about how Pledis Entertainment seems to have one member in each group talented at making ramen, then gave JR a mission to showcase his ramen making skills by making black bean ramen noodles for 18 people. (In a previous episode, they had SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu make ramen for 15 people.)
