Yang Hyun Suk To Visit Over 50 Agencies For Upcoming YG Survival Show

An exclusive report from OSEN reveals new details surrounding YG Entertainment’s upcoming survival program that is scheduled to air on JTBC.

A source close to Han Dong Cheol, the producing director of the upcoming survival program, has revealed that Yang Hyun Suk is planning on visiting at least 50 different entertainment agencies through the survival show.

The YG Entertainment founder reportedly plans on discovering new stars at the agencies, as well as counsel and offer support to help them be able to debut.

The new YG survival program will be different from the shows PD Han Dong Cheol has worked on thus far. PD Han Dong Cheol previously worked on Mnet’s “Show Me the Money,” “Unpretty Rapstar,” and “Produce 101.”

Yang Hyun Suk’s plans to visit other agencies is also unprecedented as he has not historically communicated frequently with many other medium-sized and smaller agencies.

Apparently, Yang Hyun Suk was very concerned about whether or not to appear in the upcoming program. Since he has his existing duties as the head of his agency, the prospect of visiting at least 50 agencies all over Korea seemed daunting. He will have to invest more time into the show than he has for past shows like SBS’s “K-Pop Star.”

However, Yang Hyun Suk ended up personally scouting PD Han Dong Cheol into joining YG Entertainment for the purposes of creating an audition program for the agency.

The survival program will air sometime later this year on Saturdays and Sundays at 6 p.m. KST.
