"Sister Is Alive" Considering Several Episode Extension

Due to its popularity, SBS drama “Sister is Alive” has notified actors of a plan to extend the drama for six to 10 additional episodes and to adjust their schedules accordingly.

A source from the drama said, “Due to exhaustion and other issues of the writer and the actors, we are currently gathering opinions. Although we are hoping for an extension of eight to ten episodes, it is likely that most will probably agree to about six more episodes.”

“Sister is Alive” started airing in April and will wrap in late October if it is extended. Grabbing viewers with a storyline of women who have their own unfortunate stories and gather to seek revenge, the drama has reached viewer ratings of almost 20 percent. Writer Kim Soon Ok previously wrote other popular dramas such as “Jang Bo Ri Is Here” and “My Daughter, Geum Sa Wol.”
