G.Soul Explains Why He Left JYP Entertainment

On September 7, G.Soul held a showcase for his latest mini album “Circles.”

During the showcase, the singer was asked why he decided to leave JYP Entertainment for Jay Park’s hip hop label H1GHR MUSIC.

G.Soul responded, “I was in my previous agency for a really long time, so I wanted to try working in a new environment with some new people. That’s why I chose my current agency.”

He added, “I’ve been receiving a lot of support from the people around me. I’m currently writing a lot of new songs, so I want to keep releasing them.”

After training at JYP Entertainment for 15 years, G.Soul debuted as a solo artist back in 2015. After two years, however, he decided to sign an exclusive contract with H1GHR MUSIC.
