Lee Sang Woo Says Xiumin, Kang Daniel, And Yong Junhyung Provided Insight Into His New Drama Role

Actor Lee Sang Woo recently talked about MBC’s pilot variety show “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets.”

The actor is set to star in MBC’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “20th Century Boy and Girl” as a first-generation idol named Anthony. His character is described as a previous member of a late ’90s top boy group called Boys Be Ambitious. Having experienced the best and the worst of the industry, Anthony is able to survive in the entertainment world thanks to the protection of his fans and manager.

As Lee Sang Woo is playing a former idol, he shared how his fellow cast members on “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets” helped him, saying, “Through filming for MBC’s ‘It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets,’ I was able to live alongside Kang Daniel, Yong Junhyung, and Xiumin, who are all idols. At that time, I just observed them, and it has been helping me a lot with my acting.”

He also added, “The work of a celebrity might appear fancy and special; but through Anthony, I want to portray the more ordinary aspects of a celebrity’s life that people will be able relate to.”

Meanwhile, “20th Century Boy and Girl” is set to air its first broadcast on September 25 at 10 p.m. KST.
