GFRIEND's Agency Shares Update After Minor Car Accident, Members Currently Resting At Home

Source Music posted a statement on September 10 following GFRIEND’s car accident.

The statement explains that the group had been on the Second Gyeongin Expressway on their way to the Incheon Munhak Stadium for the 2017 Incheon K-Pop Concert (INK Concert) when their car had hit the vehicle ahead of them while changing lanes at around 5:30 p.m. KST on September 9.

“We first apologize to the others who experienced damages, as this accident was caused by the carelessness of the driver who is a manager in our company,” Source Music stated. “We also apologize to all the audience members at the INK Concert who were looking forward to GFRIEND’s appearance, as well as for causing inconvenience due to the traffic disturbance in the area caused by the accident.”

Source Music stated that immediately after the accident, GFRIEND was taken to the hospital for examinations. The little finger on Yerin’s right hand was diagnosed as sprained, while the five other members (Sowon, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji) and the manager were determined to not have any injuries beyond minor bruises.

The members of GFRIEND have returned home from the hospital and are resting, and their comeback set for September 13 will be continuing as planned. Source Music has stated they will take greater caution in the future to avoid such accidents, and apologized to fans who were shocked by the news.
