Park Jin Young Admits He Was Worried About Sunmi's Decision To Leave JYP

Park Jin Young opened up about how he felt when Sunmi decided to leave JYP Entertainment.

During a recent recording of “JYP’s Party People,” Sunmi appeared as a guest and talked about her latest solo comeback with “Gashina.”

The former Wonder Girls member shared, “Because it was my first release since moving agencies, I discussed a lot of things with the composers in order to maximize my strengths.”

Park Jin Young then revealed that he was really worried at first when he heard that Sunmi was going to move to another agency. He expressed, “There are a lot of producers out there who are more skilled than me, but because I’ve worked with Sunmi for a long time, I was worried that she wouldn’t be able to find another producer that knows her as well as I do.”

“But after I saw Sunmi actively participating in composing and writing lyrics for Wonder Girls’ album, I was able to let her go with ease. However, I still get nervous these days whenever I see Sunmi going up on stage,” Park Jin Young added.

It was further revealed that Park Jin Young had called Sunmi right after her comeback showcase, telling her that “Gashina” would definitely be topping charts.
