Lee Jong Suk and Suzy‘s new drama is off to a good start!

On September 28, Nielsen Korea announced the viewership ratings for the dramas that aired the night before. The new SBS drama “While You Were Sleeping” premiered on September 27 to ratings of 7.2 percent in the first half and 9.2 percent in the second half across the entire country.

Of all the Wednesday-Thursdays dramas that aired in the same time slot, “While You Were Sleeping” came second. This was a 3 percent increase from the final viewership ratings of “Into the World Again,” the drama that had previously aired on SBS in that time slot.

First place in the time slot was MBC’s “Hospital Ship” with 9.8 percent in the first half and 10.6 percent in the second half. “Hospital Ship” and “While You Were Sleeping” had a ratings difference of a little over 1 percent, making it a close race as both dramas go forward.

Third place in the time slot was KBS’s “Manhole” with an average viewership rating of 1.9 percent.
