Change In Han Seung Yeon's Character On

Jung Ye Eun, played by Han Seung Yeon, is changing slowly but with significance in JTBC’s drama “Age of Youth 2.”

Jung Ye Eun, who was timid and dark after becoming the victim of dating violence a year ago, is gradually brightening up. She is mustering her courage thanks to her housemates who support her unconditionally and Kwon Ho Chang (Lee Yoo Jin) who is sincere and innocent.

Even when she was in Belle Epoque, the share house she was familiar with, Jung Ye Eun became tense when strangers came. So the new housemate Jo Eun (Choi Ara) and the male manager Seo Jang Hoon (Kim Min Suk) were unnerving and discomforting for her. She began to open up, however, when she realized that Jo Eun had a soft spot under her seeming coldness and that Seo Jang Hoon worried and cared for her after the dating violence.

Jung Ye Eun was even more timid and reserved at school, but her relationship with Kwon Ho Chang changed her. He had also suffered from bullying when he was younger and people talked about him due to his strange behavior. Kwon Ho Chang was so innocent that Jung Ye Eun couldn’t push him off and she even became brave enough to speak to him first.

The girl who hid herself during her last relationship and said “Yes” when she thought “No” is now reaching out to Kwon Ho Chang as her true self. She thanked him when he helped her in trouble and when he came to her house, worried after she couldn’t go to school because of Han You Kyung (Ha Eun Seul). She first said, “I told you not to come.” Finally she added with honesty, “But I really did want you to come anyway. Thank you.”

Jung Ye Eun is changing for the better as she has friends who care for her more than anyone. Encouraging eyes are on the girl to see how brighter and more confident she’ll become in the upcoming final four episodes of “Age of Youth 2.”

“Age of Youth 2” airs every Friday and Saturday at 11:00 p.m. KST on JTBC.
