Kim Yoo Jung Talks About Reuniting With "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" Cast A Year Later
18-year-old actress Kim Yoo Jung has successfully transitioned from a child actress to an actress. With 15 years of acting experience under her belt, she spoke about her past, present, and future in a recent pictorial interview with @star1.
The cast of KBS2’s “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” reunited for their one-year anniversary in March of this year. Kim Yoo Jung said, “It was really nice to see them. We hadn’t seen each other in awhile, so we caught up and had a fun time together. We uploaded a lot of photos on social media. While talking about this and that, we were reminded of memories [from filming]. We laughed a lot and enjoyed ourselves.”
When the interviewer asked what it was like to see her lead partner Park Bo Gum again, she responded, “It had been a really long time since I had seen Park Bo Gum and it was really good to see him. We talked a lot and had fun hanging out with all of our co-stars.”
Kim Yoo Jung described “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” as “an album filled to the brim with photos.” She explained, “No matter how much time passes or if dust piles on top, it will still look beautiful. When we got together recently, it felt like I was inside of the last page of the photo album.”
On the topic of photos, Kim Yoo Jung talked about how she stays in touch with her fans through her Instagram account. She stated it’s “the only way to communicate with fans when [she’s] not filming a drama” and that reading her fans’ supportive comments gives her strength.
Currently in her senior year of high school, the actress commented, “I will graduate soon. It’s a time that will never come back, so I want to successfully complete my school years. I am also holding a fan meeting. It’s something I’ve been looking forward to, so I’m nervous, excited, and happy as well. I want to prepare well and meet my fans soon.”
She also shared what she wants to do once she graduates and turns 20 (legal adult age in Korea). She said, “After my birthday passes and I get my drivers license, I want to go on a trip without a destination. I want to travel without plans and go wherever my feet take me. I think it will be romantic. I really want to try it.”
Looking forward towards adulthood, Kim Yoo Jung seemed cautiously excited. “I want to show a side to Kim Yoo Jung that hasn’t been shown before; a more grown-up Kim Yoo Jung. I’m sad that my teenage years are coming to an end, but am also excited about what to expect when I turn 20. When I ‘really’ become an adult, wouldn’t I be closer to the ‘real’ Kim Yoo Jung in color and character? One thing I know for sure is, right now, I really like 19 more than 20,” she revealed.
