2017 MAMA Announces Further Details And Plans For Nominations Broadcast

Further information has been unveiled for the 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards (hereafter 2017 MAMA).

2017 MAMA will be held from November 25 through December 1 as previously announced, and this year’s theme is “Coexistence.” This is a representation of the aim to be a global music festival where people of different cultures and languages can coexist in harmony.

The event will begin on November 25 with 2017 MAMA Premiere in Vietnam, which will feature Asian artists from Thailand, Singapore, and more as winners and performers. 2017 MAMA in Japan will be held on November 29 and 2017 MAMA in Hong Kong will be held on December 1. Being in more countries than previous years, various artists will fill the ceremonies with splendid performances. In addition, 2017 MAMA Professional Categories will also be held in Hong Kong on November 30 and go beyond artists to celebrate others that take part in the Asian music industry.

On October 19, 2017 MAMA Nominations will be broadcast on Mnet at 5 p.m. KST to announce the contenders for this year. Kim Il Joong and Park So Hyun will MC, and lyricist Kim Eana and rapper DinDin will participate as panelists to provide commentary. Voting will begin on MAMA’s official website (2017MAMA.com) as soon as the broadcast ends at 6 p.m. KST.

The official sponsor for this year’s MAMA is Qoo10, which will be in charge of ticket sales and various other events.
