EXID's Solji Opens Up To Fans About Not Participating In Upcoming Promotions

On November 3, EXID’s leader and main vocalist Solji held a V Live broadcast titled “Solji’s Voice,” where she spoke to fans without a video and just her voice.

In the V Live, Solji joyfully greeted her fans and said, “It’s so nice to see you all like this. Because I can’t participate in the new title track ‘DDD’ promotions, I wanted to think of another way to do something.”

Solji has been on hiatus since the end of last year due to hyperthyroidism. Although she sat out during prior promotions, fans were excited to see her in jacket photos and hear that she had participated in the recording of EXID’s upcoming mini album “Full Moon.” However, their agency Banana Culture recently released a statement saying Solji’s health had deteriorated and that she would not be participating in broadcast activities.

Through the broadcast, she explained, “I wanted to meet you all even like this. Although it’s unfortunate you can’t see my face, I’m happy you can hear my voice. While the members promote ‘DDD,’ I will continue to do ‘Solji’s Voice.'”

Solji also shared her recent thoughts and said, “These days, I am realizing that health is the most important. My hiatus is getting long, so I am feeling and seeing a lot of things. One of my dreams was to become a radio DJ, and I am able to achieve it this way. I was upset I couldn’t promote with the members, but many people cheered me on, which brought tears to my eyes.”
