Lee Seo Won Shares Sweet Story Of Song Joong Ki's Reaction To Him Not Being Able To Attend The Wedding

During a recent interview, actor Lee Seo Won shared a sweet story about a conversation he had with Song Joong Ki ahead of his marriage to Song Hye Kyo.

Lee Seo Won and Song Joong Ki are both signed on under the same agency, Blossom Entertainment. When asked if he attended Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s wedding, Lee Seo Won said, “I wasn’t able to go due to a scheduling conflict with MBC’s drama ‘Hospital Ship.’ It’s really unfortunate.”

He then went on to explain that he called Song Joong Ki before the big day to say that he would not be able to attend the wedding due to his drama. The reply he received from Song Joong Ki was, “Okay, I understand. What can you do, right? Just focus on working hard for your drama.”

Lee Seo Won added, “He [Song Joong Ki] told me, ‘You’re unable to come because of work, what kind of person would I be to not be understanding of that?’ I was so grateful to him and I congratulated him on his marriage, and we ended the conversation with him saying we should meet up for a meal after he’s become a married man.”

Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo tied the knot on October 31. Lee Seo Won has been playing the role of Kim Jae Geol in the recently-concluded MBC drama “Hospital Ship.”
