Watch: gugudan's Kim Sejeong Tearfully Achieves Her Dream By Singing A Duet With Ailee

On the November 19 broadcast of SBS’s “Fantastic Duo 2,” gugudan member Kim Sejeong tried out for her chance to become Ailee’s duet partner.

Kim Sejeong shared that she had been a big fan of Ailee for a while and revealed, “Since I was a trainee, I sang Ailee’s ‘Singing Got Better.'”

Then, the gugudan leader sang “I Will Go To You Like the First Snow,” Ailee’s popular hit OST from the drama “Goblin,” and moved Ailee with her rendition of the song.

In the end, Ailee chose Kim Sejeong as her duet partner and the two performed a beautiful duet of “If You.”

After the duet performance, Kim Sejeong shed tears and said, “There aren’t many opportunities to perform on the same stage with Ailee, but I think I was too nervous. This was a place for me to help her, but I feel like I wasn’t able to do so because I was so nervous.”
