Former MADTOWN's Buffy Enlists In The Marines And Thanks Fans For Their Support

On November 20, former MADTOWN member Buffy enlisted in the Korean Marine Corps in order to carry out his mandatory military service.

Buffy posted a photo of him with his new short haircut, saluting in front of the Marines’ slogan and wrote, “I will be back safely.”

In a statement to a Korean media outlet, Buffy said, “I will enlist in the Korean Marine Corps on [November] 20 as a part of the 1228th class. If you’re a [male] Korean citizen, it is a given to fulfill your military duties, so I decided not to delay it any longer and enlist.”

He continued, “I talked with my [MADTOWN] members for a long time and feel apologetic that I could not continue promotions with my members due to the unfortunate incident. I am going to the military first, but will continue to cheer on the other members’ future plans. I really wanted to say thank you for the love you have given MADTOWN.”

Buffy will enter the Marine Corps training center located in the city of Pohang in the Northern Gyeongsang Province where he will receive basic training for seven weeks before being assigned an official post.
