Weki Meki Records Highest Album Sales Among 2017 Rookie Girl Groups

Weki Meki’s first mini album “WEME” is the highest selling album by a girl group that debuted in 2017.

According to Gaon, the mini album has sold approximately 47,000 copies since its release on August 8.

Weki Meki is an eight-member girl group under Fantagio that made their debut in August with the title track “I Don’t Like Your Girlfriend.” Their members include Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, Ji Suyeon, Elly, Sui, Lua, Rina, and Lucy.

The group sold out a special “B” version of their debut mini album as well, and also came in third place in September among girl group brand reputation rankings. Weki Meki is reportedly currently busy with overseas promotions, photo shoots, advertisements, and drama shooting, while also working on a new album.
