As with many major award shows, MAMA has been under heavy scrutiny recently, with many K-pop fans accusing the show of bias and allegedly rigging votes. Following a lack of transparency in MAMA’s recent action against “illegal voting,” the show’s producers responded to this controversy and others at a press conference, although many fans have been unsatisfied with the response.

MAMA is being held over four nights in three different regions this year, and the first ceremony already took place on November 25 in Vietnam. Upcoming shows will be held in Japan on November 29, and in Hong Kong on November 30 and December 1.
