Interpark Announces 2017's Album Of The Year
Korean online retailer Interpark has revealed its list of this year’s top albums!
On December 27, Interpark announced the online voting results for the best album of 2017. Voting took place from November 23 to December 17, with a total of 663,619 votes placed. The nominees were chosen based on album sales and the recommendations of Interpark’s managing directors.
EXO’s “The War” came in first, with an impressive 37.9 percent of votes. Between “The War,” which was released in July, and its repackage “THE WAR: The Power of Music,” released in September, the album recorded total sales of 1,592,792, the highest of any EXO album to date.
Wanna One was not far behind with their debut album “1X1=1 (TO BE ONE),” falling only 52 votes short of first place. The album claimed 37.89 percent of votes, and it also recorded the highest number of sales on Interpark of any K-pop album this year.
BTS’s “Love Yourself: Her” was third on the list, with 11.62 percent of votes. The album notably hit No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, the highest ranking ever achieved by a K-pop artist.
NU’EST W’s “W, HERE” rounded out the top five, following the operatic pop quartet Forte di Quattro’s self-titled album at fourth place.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
