Korean Stars Who Became Adults On New Year's Day
Many idols and actors officially became adults on January 1, according to Korean age!
Everyone turns a year older on New Year’s Day according to this age system, and while most people born in 1999 are still 18 years old based on Western reckoning, they’re now officially considered 20-year-old adults in Korea (since everyone is already a year old in Korean age when they’re born).
Idols who are now adults include Wanna One’s pink sausage team Park Ji Hoon and Park Woo Jin, two members of TWICE’s maknae line, Weki Meki’s “DoDaeng” besties Choi Yoojung and Kim Doyeon, and lots more. There are also many popular drama and film stars who are now no longer considered a “child actor.”
