T.O.P To Resume Service As A Public Service Worker
On December 4, a source from the Military Manpower Administration revealed that BIGBANG’s T.O.P will be beginning his work as a public service worker at the Yongsan District Office in mid-January. A source from the Yongsan District Office stated, “We’ve received information about the matter, but we haven’t received an official document yet.”
Last February, T.O.P was assigned to be a conscripted policeman for the Gangnam Police Station. However, after being charged and found guilty of smoking marijuana, he was dismissed from duty and was to finish the remainder of his mandatory service as a public service worker.
The singer previously apologized for his actions and stated, “With no excuses, I deeply regret [my actions] and am very fearful. There will never be such irresponsible actions again. I once again apologize and am deeply self-reflecting. I am very embarrassed of myself.”
T.O.P received reservist status and has 520 days left in his mandatory service, and the 117 days he was enlisted from last February 9 until June 5 will be counted towards his service.
